Where Tracy McCourt Lived in North Hollywood
During his testimony at Holmes 1982 preliminary hearing, Tracy McCourt stated that he was “staying” at an apartment on “Lemp” in North Hollywood during the robbery and murders. Well, loyal reader Bonnie took a drive over there and Lemp Avenue is barely, if even, a mile long. She drove it in a few minutes. Thanks for that tip, B!
Take a drive in HD:
Tracy only says he was “staying” here on Lemp, probably with his friends.
By the way, I once found an old apartment of his in North Hollywood where McCourt must have been on the lease or got mail there or listed it on a tax return or employment record. The building was one of those 3 or 4 story courtyard style apartment buildings but now I can’t find the picture or the address. That was probably before the Wonderland saga, but who knows. I’m sure that he had gainful employment or an apartment in his name at least once while in L.A.
The best part is, there are only two different apartment buildings on that street. And here they are. The street splits a few times and picks back up again after a few blocks, but on those sections there are houses and duplexes.
Anyway, enjoy. I did a lot of combing, hesitated to post this but what the hell. It’s Wonderland.
Here is the other apartment building, the parking entrance (not shown) shows it being a larger building than the apartment building above… it goes pretty far back from the street.
