Gregory Dewett Diles – High School Photos
Gregory Diles graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1966. I was never aware that his middle name was spelled “Dewett”. But, maybe that is misspelled, as you will see below.
Greg played high school football, but they misspelled his name and cut off the top of his head in the yearbook photo. I’m glad that I flipped through that section! They were a very good varsity team, and most of the scores I saw were 24-0, 27-0, 19-0, etc. Also, the football section shows a trophy and the caption reads: “LA City Champs”.

Diles in a suit & tie, damn I’m impressed. He graduated high school? I’m even more impressed. Diles was more educated than Holmes LOL

It looks like Greg had an older sister, and she was a senior in 1962. I cannot confirm that just yet. I don’t know why but I keep thinking of Jefferson from Fast Times at Ridgmont High. I would’t want to be the student editor of that yearbook, due to the misspelling and cutting off his head, and hear that “Greg Diles is looking for you”. Oh Shit!!

I know! Right?? Sad that he ended up with the likes of Nash but that was probably a well paying job I am thinking. I bet his mother was proud.

Greg’s alumni bro’s at L.A. High were author Charles Bukowski, famed attorney Johnnie Cochran, Solid Gold hostess Marilynn McCoo, and many more. McCoo was a senior when Greg was a freshman. I can just visualize Nash & Greg hitting the pipe… and watching Solid Gold at Ed’s Dona Lola residence.

LOL. Yeah, the solid gold dancers. Forget about the OJ trial. If John Holmes would have lived ( Holmes was named in the Nash/Diles murder indietment ) can you just imagine what kind of freak show / circus this would have been with Johnnie Cochran? You have drug lord Eddie Nash, Pornstar John Holmes, Liberace’s gay lover Scott Thorson, Aryan Brotherhood member David Lind, Nash enforcer Greg Diles and ….Johnnie Cochran!!
Forget about selling T shirts outside the court house like they did at the OJ trial, you could have sold tickets to that thing. It would have been amazing to watch.

They would have had the trial at the LA Forum, to fit in all of the people. Lance Ito could have been the judge and that big place would be enough to host all of his stupid hourglasses! The bailiff could have been Cedric the Entertainer.

It might be better if Nash’s original judge presided over the case, Judge Ricks, the guy that beat up his mother. Just ads to the insanity..
