John Holmes Last Known Address
According to Scott at findadeath.com, this is John’s last physical address before he was admitted into the Veteran’s Hospital in L.A.
Go here and you can view the lobby, elevator and their apartment door. Scott has been tracking down all types of celebs and their final days, so he is pretty good at getting the info. In most cases, it’s pretty sad to see how destitute and broke some old TV and movie stars really were, before they passed on.
Scott also runs Dearly Departed Tours, from which our lovely friend, Bonnie, took a tour last year and really enjoyed it.

It’s not a bad looking building from the front, but hard to say what it was like in ’87 when John and Laurie (and Laurie’s son) were living there. There had been a pool then, Laurie had said, but that overall, it was an average apartment. They’d had dogs and cats. As many people are aware, Holmes was a big fan of yard sales and flea markets. Laurie still has a few pieces of furniture that she and John had owned while living here which he restored. The photo at the following link shows John and Laurie in 1985, a year prior to receiving news that he was sick. http://johnholmesinches.blogspot.ca/2011/12/second-edition-of-inches-now-available.html
Thanks, John.

Nice building I wonder what the rent is like now for a place like that its not fancy like what chuck negrone’s but I see places like that all over, the type of place where people who have decent jobs live not high end but not yuca flats either

They need to put up a historical marker at that location, “John Holmes Slept Here”. Maybe one of those thingies that they embed in the sidewalk, or one of those old-school cast iron historical signs that has a brief story on it.

How about a huge phalic symbol like they used all through ancient history
