1966: Glickman Buys Phony Gold Brick
I don’t know how many Harold G’s were walking around L.A. in 1966, and if there were more than one, I doubt they were the same age. Things like this have to be taken as genuine. Harold was of course, a buddy of Nash, and they were roughly the same age (Nash turned 40 in 1969). I imagine that these two 19-year olds were Glickman’s young goons.
From the L.A. Times… this is something I thought happened a hundred years ago to bumpkins who just arrived in the big city… quickly fleeced of their life savings:
