I dont know what is the point of paying for an obit that says nothing Diles is not an uncommon name and with no other info to go on extended family or friends would have no clue as is this “our Greg”
Hey John, I have been thinking. Do you think that G. Diles was telling Nash what they should do after they were hit? One thing we cannot see is what the conversations between Nash and Diles were really like. Considering Greg Diles was from a hot bed of racial upheaval I am not sure Eddie Nash could have stopped him from doing these murders. From his life in Oakland as a child to his street career with Nash he carried racial hatred because of deep racism where he grew up. I think he was the main force of the attack. He was not going to let a low level Aryan Brotherhood member and his hippy friends do this to his clique. There is a bunch of historical context to this story which highlights everything. Lind, Diles, Launius and Eddie Nash are all very intriguing people with widely varying backgrounds. Diles wasn’t just ordered to do it. He couldn’t wait another second. He didn’t wait because Eddie Nash was 100% in, but it was G. Diles and his friends that were swinging lead pipes.
I wonder if Eddie Nash had any police friends that could look up court dates and criminal records. Maybe he knew Launius was scheduled to leave the next day. See if Eddie Nash was that sophisticated then I will subscribe to the ‘Prince of Darkness” ideation. Until then, I am pretty sure that G. Diles got robbed, shot by a white supremacist biker type and went right after him. This guy gets shot and is ready to fight a couple of days later. That is a lot of motivation. They used Holmes to get information and get them in the door. All that stuff about the black book and such was to get information and scare Holmes. Nash wouldn’t have killed his mother in Ohio. Diles will get you up the block though, no doubt about that. He wanted David Lind more than anything else. I am sure he was very disappointed that David Lind was able to show up in court.
Do you even know what an obit is for? Its advertisement for a wake it gives a clue or two as to which family the person belongs to . Just because people have the same last name does not mean they are related.AN obit is only put in the paper to let people who you dont know like friends or extended family of the dead that they are dead . The only person in this whole story with real name recognition is holmes every one else dosent really matter except for those who read this blog YES I BELIEVE THIS IS OUR GREG but if I was related to him I would not be able to tell by reading that in paper. In the end greg is just some black murderer or trouble maker like michael brown who will be forgotten .
Many newspapers have a policy where they will print the person’s name and burial information for free but you have to pay for anything else. This may be the reason for the brief obituary.

We should all be so lucky, …so as to have been portrayed by Faison Love on the silver screen, LOL.
