Candid Videos Of The Wonderland House

The pop group, LMFAO, have been featured on the blog before, since they lived in the Wonderland House about 4 or 5 years ago. I have not shared these particular videos however.

In the following videos, you can see the interior of the house a bit better, the layout, etc. I could not find one of the backyard area.

    Warning: These guys are idiots.

Something about that house has people half-dressed!

And a video made out in the street:

Kind of reminds me of the Anne Frank house- surprisingly nice inside.

Only those guy could have defaced 8763. Where are Holmes, Diles and the rest of the killers when you really need them!

Well John I must say, “these guys are idiots” is a MAJOR understatement! Have to agree with Scabies, but I’d have been real happy to hear that the ghost of Ron or Billy had kicked them down that stairwell.
Sure would be real nice to see Critic’s dream come to life rather than having to witness these asshats desecrate this sacred site.
Is it just me or does the taller guy (middle video) resemble John Holmes just a tiny little bit?.. same sorta jaw-line and teeth. Holmes however got more pussy than these two combined ever will πŸ˜‰ They should just stick to dry humping doors, dressing in their ‘ironic’ 80’s clown costumes & producing shitty disposable dance music. Rant over.

Man, I wish I lived n LA and had the money. I’d buy that house and restore it to its former glory, and run it as a Wonderland-themed B&B. πŸ™‚

      • scabiesoftherat 11:22 pm on January 7, 2014 Permalink | Reply

I’d go to that. I wish they would have done that at Sharon Tate’s house instead of tearing the thing down.
The guy in the middle video? Couldn’t you just picture Josh Lucas grabbing him by the shoulders and chucking him through the second floor window like he did with that stereo component? I could.

        Very, very easily….

    Wonderland Screen Captures and Images

These pics are just some images that are “flashed” briefly on screen and found elsewhere from videos and documentaries. Might as well make photos of them and post them on the web. Some show blood. You’ve been warned.

The photo of Nash in his county blues while in the holding pen are from his 1988 arrest when he and Diles were charged with the murders. Diles is beside him, but not shown. There is a black and white, bleached out newsprint photo showing both of them and it is on the blog somewhere.

The news guy reprises his role 23 years later in the 2003 film. I scoured the cast credits but could not find his name. He’s older of course, but that’s him in the movie.

The actor, George Leonardopolous, who plays Tracy McCourt in the film is credited in the cast as playing a character named “Tommy Conway”. That leads me to believe that McCourt did not want to have his name associated with the film. Heck I don’t know. I think it was a little bit of both fearing for his safety and not having his friends deaths glamorized in some movie.

Does anybody know much about Nils Grevilius? He was a cop, I guess, and was involved with Souza and Lange’s book “Four on the Floor”? He is credited in the film as “Weapons Training”.

I’m chasing another interview also. Stay tuned.

    • localarts 12:32 pm on October 22, 2013 Permalink | Reply

I may be off base here but I believe Nils Grevilius was a private investigator. Grevilius collaborated with Lange & Souza on four on the floor. John, it may be worth trying to get in touch with this guy. I would like to see if he had a chance to interview Paul Kelly. Other than Nash himself, Kelly probably knows who the other killer’s were that night. He did after all take the fifth in the Nash trial.

A Few New Photos of Wonderland

Tori was recently at the Wonderland house and sent these pics via Facebook. Thanks Tori!

Ok this really sucks! I just did a search yesterday on my dvr for Wonderland and got a zero result. I turn the tv on this afternoon to put a show on for my kids and what do I see??? Freakin’ Wonderland!! Sooooo ticked! Hoping they re-run it, it was already half over and I can’t exactly watch it w/ my kids around. It’s on some channel called AXL or something?? Anyway, seriously bummed! 😦

    • John W 9:52 am on September 28, 2013 Permalink | Reply

If you are somewhat new to the blog then be sure to flip thru each post when convenient (bottom of page — “Older Posts”. There are over 300 blog posts. A
lot of stuff here. Use the Search button too but be specific and you will get better results i.e, “Joy’s nightgown” or “Ron’s first wife”.

My friend said I should just print the blog out, post by post, organize it, and that would be a book! He may be correct.

      • Beth 12:16 pm on September 28, 2013 Permalink | Reply

That’s a great idea!! You definately have enough material here for a great book, would love to see Tom Lang’s book published too. Put the screws to Nash even tighter, the dirty old fart!

Yep I’ve been reading back into the blog when I can, not sure why I find this so fascinating, maybe the unsolved mystery part of it. Seriously need to watch Wonderland again, wish it was on Netflix!

If I ever win the lottery I’d like to buy 8763 and restore it to its pristine appearance in 1981. I’d then set it up as sort of a bed and breakfast. You could stay there with 3 other friends for a night. Captain Pizza would cater the food in, and there would be plenty of Johnny Wadd porno tapes to throw in the Betamax. Included in the price would be a picture of your group hanging out on the balcony. It would be one heck of a great time.

      • Tori 1:06 pm on September 27, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Yeah Barbara was struck laying on the couch. Who knows maybe she let john in and went back to the couch then that’s when the gangsters came in.

Oh man takin wonderland back to the 80s would be sweet. Rock n roll playing. With Johnny’s wadd on. Cocaine being passed. Lol ok maybe not the cocaine

        • Beth 6:27 am on September 28, 2013 Permalink

Looking at the crime photos last night, one thing that struck me is….it looks to me like Joy is laying sideways across the bed, not “in” bed but rather like she’d been up and was killed in the struggle? Anyone know, was she wearing nightclothes, or a robe? It just kind of looks like she’d been out of bed and fell the way she was found, then they ransacked the place and threw all the crap on top of her. Then Deverell was obviously out of bed and on the floor and I remember reading he had defensive wounds as if fighting back. Wondering if perhaps they heard the commotion from below and were up when the killers struck.

Then there are the dogs, that really confuses me. Am I correct that there were 2 pitbulls or something guarding the place? I think the thought is that they “knew” John so they didn’t cause a ruckus and allowed them to enter. I don’t get that. I have 2 German Shepherds and they “know” many of my friends, but if any of those friends came to my place at night, in the dark, they’d take their heads off! So this does have me wondering if someone from within the house called the dogs off or something. Ugh, wish we knew more! Damn u John Holmes for not spilling all your guts!

        • Tori 9:05 am on September 28, 2013 Permalink

Yes it seemed like joy and billy were awake and possibly knew something was going on on the first floor. If u watch the crime scene video there is hammers and tools laying on the bed as if maybe they tried to use that for protection. But I’m sure that house was probably loaded with guns so who knows. Unresolved mystery! It sucks!!!!!!!!!

        • John W 9:43 am on September 28, 2013 Permalink

Joy was wearing a gold nightgown and green and white striped robe. Her cranial wounds are nearly all on the shattered forehead. She and Billy fought for their lives.

    • Tori 1:33 pm on September 26, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Thanks guys! Hahahahahha that’s so funny! U know what I always wonder is who in the hell opened the door. Or did they just break in. I know the gate was left opened. But who let them in? In the movie billy did but billy was up in his room so it wasn’t him.

      • Beth 4:39 pm on September 26, 2013 Permalink | Reply

I never realized they steps also led to the house next door, guess I didn’t pay close attention. I wonder who opened the door too, I’ve read that it was Barbara, but I thought she was asleep when struck, or so it seemed. Hmmm…another unsolved mystery!

        • localarts 6:00 pm on September 26, 2013 Permalink

Without going into a lot of detail as to why, the consensus is Deverell.

        • Bobby 8:22 am on September 28, 2013 Permalink

Considering it’s a shared stairwell it’s pretty understandable how the movers the day after the murders would’ve had a pretty clear line of sight into the house, not to mention hearing Susan’s moaning. The issues raised on this thread re: the dogs baffles me too. How did they not attack Diles and co.??

        • criticextraordinaire 8:15 am on September 29, 2013 Permalink

Bobby I always wondered about the dogs too. It’s too bad John had not left Thor there that night. Thor would have beat down the attackers, he was one bad ass dog.

The Drive To Eddie Nash’s House, Part 2

Well, there is no doubt that Bonnie is not only our own Laurel Erickson newsgirl, but she has started a trend. You see, another blogger has now posted a video of himself driving to Eddie’s from the Wonderland house, albeit in what seems to be an RV, school bus or camera mounted Google car (from the point of view).

I am also still tracking down some key Wonderland players for interviews. Relatives and that girl who allegedly took the $50k from Eddie during his first trial. Stay tuned!

Also, check out his blog. He posts some cool stuff:

Bonnie’s driving videos are flawless. Mostly because every couple minutes I’d catch a glimpse of the lovely Bonnie with her designer shades looking beautiful.

Does anyone know what happened to Dawn Schiller’s father? I asked this in an earlier thread but I think it got buried, so sorry for the repeat, πŸ™‚ I see that Dawn, her brother, sister and mother all have FB pages. Sorry to see that her sister has cancer. Wondered if her dad has passed, or what ultimately happened to him. And yes, I love the music Bonnie puts in her videos! Very cool!

Sorry for the personal attact the other night criticextraordinaire. Wayyy too much to drink. Please accept my apology. The drive in the 75 Granada has been discused before on this blog and yes, that would be the bomb.

    • criticextraordinaire 6:35 pm on September 24, 2013 Permalink | Reply

I’d kinda like to do that drive in a ’75 Ford Granada, just like Ronnie, David and Billy did with Tracy serving as the wheel man. Or possibly a Chevy Nova that’s been painted with spray cans like John and Dawn did. That would make a great Hollywood Noir tour. After that, head on down to John’s old bungalow apartment house (well, where it used to be), and then have a nice lunch at the Bonaventure where he was interrogated by LA’s finest.

      • John 9:31 am on September 25, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Absolutely! I used to have a white ’76 Granada in high school. Great a/c and it had a factory cassette player, and not an 8-track. It was fully loaded with leather and we took her to many concerts and on several camping trips. When I sold it a few years later, I don’t think the poor family even made it home 30 miles away, LOL. It had a lot of miles on it and needed work.

John have you ever attempted to interview The Nash? It would be great to hear his unvarnished side of things, and to gain more insight into the relationship he had with John C. Holmes, as well as the way he and JCH rose to the top in their respective fields. An authorized biography of Eddie Nash is definitely something that’s needed.

      • John 9:35 am on September 25, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Jill Nelson who wrote the Holmes book, attempted to contact him via his attorney. Nash slept on it over the weekend and declined an interview. Thus, I have never given it a shot. I have his email though πŸ˜‰ I doubt he wants to talk to a crazy blogger in Texas like me.

        • John 9:33 am on September 25, 2013 Permalink

I bet she burned thru that cash faster than a blunt goes up in Compton. I knew a guy who was a bus boy and was awarded damages from a slip fall at work. $150K in 1994. He burned thru it with his hangers-on yes men and within a year was mowing yards and bussing tables again in Corpus Christi.

Cool! The scenery is so interesting, especially since I live in the Mid-west and we don’t see anything like this! Kind of reminds me of England to be honest. I wonder what the neighbors think of all this? What is the Wonderland area like presently, do you know? I have been to CA once ages ago and wanted to check this all out but the people I stayed with weren’t interested in showing me any of these types of sights (true crime fan here, so I wanted to see all the landmarks!)

Hey Beth – this is my Youtube channel. I live in Studio City less than 5 miles from Eddie’s house. I made a bunch of videos of the hollywood hills. One is a drive to the Canyon Country store. The video titled Love Street, shows where Pam and Jim were living when he wrote the Song – and the lyric “there’s a store where the people meet” he is talking about the canyon store which is right across the street. I made one video driving up Sunset Blvd on a sunday morning. And one driving around Studio City. The Studio City one I drive past the Brady Bunch house.

Bonnie is the bestest of the best when it comes to filming these rides. You wanna know why? She always has pertinent music playing on her stereo when she drives these drives. She puts the kick-butt music of the day in there. The last guy’s vid wasn’t bad. It’s just that there was no music and he WAY too close to some of those power lines. His mic needed a windscreen as well. Bonnie has you in the car with her. Not riding on top of the car….hanging on for dear life.

As always, great vids, Bonnie! When you gonna do the one from Spahn Ranch to 10050 Cielo Drive? I’m dying here. LOL. (The Beatle’s White Album is the way to go with that,…musically speaking. Just sayin’. Lol)

2009 Residents Give Tour of Wonderland House

I guess they do the song “I’m Sexy & I Know It”…seems appropriate since John Holmes partied there also. They are known as LMFAO. The music group obviously lived in the house back in 2009… maybe they still do? Ronnie is spinning in his grave for pete’s sake! The neighbors on that street had it nice and quiet for 30 years.

Here they are cooking in the kitchen (hey, don’t leave that fridge door open, again πŸ˜‰
